Student Vote – April 28

Student Vote is Here! Our Students Are Ready to Make Their Voices Heard

We’re thrilled to announce that the Secondary students at Brighton School will be participating in Student Vote Canada on Monday, April 28—a real-life simulation of the federal election happening across the country!

As part of this hands-on program, our students have been learning about how elections work, exploring party platforms, and diving into the issues that matter to them. On Student Vote Day, they’ll cast ballots for the actual candidates running in our local district—just like adults do!

It’s all about giving students a chance to experience democracy in action, develop critical thinking skills, and see themselves as informed, engaged citizens. We hope this sparks great conversations at home—ask your child who they voted for and why!

And don’t forget: the official election is April 28 – make sure to vote!
